PhD students from the 39th and 40th cycles engage in technology, ethics, and sustainability
From 9 to 11 December 2025, the University of Brescia hosted the CU3 (Technology and Territory) event titled “Being a Researcher: Curiosity Across Disciplines and Sharing Knowledge to Inspire Innovation”, bringing together PhD-SDC students from the 39th and 40th cycles.
The three-day event combined lectures, hands-on activities, and open discussions, encouraging participants to explore interdisciplinary perspectives on sustainability and climate change. Key topics included machine learning, ethical artificial intelligence, and the circular economy, highlighting how technological innovation can be aligned with societal and environmental needs.
Throughout the program, PhD students also had the opportunity to present their own research, fostering knowledge exchange, critical dialogue, and collaboration across disciplines.
The event emphasized the role of interdisciplinary research in inspiring innovative solutions for a more sustainable future.
