Workshop "Designing nudges for risk mitigation"

Workshop

Milan, Italy

In the framework of the RETURN Project, the Politecnico di Milano proposes a workshop on 11 and 12 September 2023

The RETURN project (multi-Risk sciEnce for resilienT commUnities undeR a changiNg climate), created with respect to the theme “Environmental, natural and anthropogenic risks” to strengthen research chains at national level and to promote their participation in European and global strategic value chains, is organizing the Workshop "Design nudges for risk mitigation".

The Workshop aims to propose a process for the development of nudge related to management and mitigation objectives risks and the implementation of spatial policies for climate resilience, based on an innovative experimental approach, on methodologies developed in the field of public policies and product design.

In behavioral economics, nudging is an intervention designed to influence a person's judgment, choices, or behavior in a predictable way, based on knowledge of the common patterns in how most people make decisions. Therefore, nudging is well suited to promoting behavioral processes and generating forms of decision-making that are more consistent with the goals of public policy, and it is being progressively tested by governments at various territorial levels around the world.
