About me

Jose is a civil engineer with a master's in Integrated Water Resources Management. He is also an educator who employs innovative approaches to bring out the best in his students. His motivation is to combine engineering, research, and education to accelerate the transition to water-sensitive cities.

My research

Most flood risk assessments focus on the identification of areas of direct impact. However, significant indirect impacts, or cascade effects, are often overlooked. This research proposal aims to develop a methodological framework for modeling the cascade effects of pluvial flooding events in cities to configure future resilience plans and support urban planning.
